The Abrasive Liquid
Abrasive Liquid Pumps
Industrial-Duty Pumps for Abrasive Liquids
Materials of Construction
- Cast Iron
- Hardened or Coated Cast Iron

Design Features
The Abrasive Liquid series pumps are designed to maximize pump life handling paints, inks, waste oil, and other abrasive liquids.  With tungsten carbide bearings and silicon carbide behind-the-rotor mechanical seals, as well as other hard materials of construction, these pumps have doubled and tripled the service life of a standard pump on abrasive liquid service.

Because many fluids contain abrasive particles, like pigments containing titanium dioxide, Viking has developed a series of abrasive liquid pumps with hardened parts and behind-the-rotor seals to minimize wear and extend pump life.  Hardened parts can also be applied to Universal Seal series internal gear pumps, affording the same level of protection.

If the abrasives are contaminants that can be removed from the fluid upstream of the pump, Viking's Lid-Ease® basket strainers can help protect any pumping system.

Abrasive liquids handled by Viking pumps include:

- Paint
- Ink
- Waste Oil
- Filled Asphalt
- Slurries
- Coatings

The Abrasive Liquid Series features the following models:

4625 - Cast Iron Abrasive Duty Pump
